"Cotanani" created by Mirasol is 60% merino wool considered the finest and softest wool of any sheep and 40% pima cotton regarded as superior to other blends of cotton. "Contanani" is produced in an isolated region of Peru where portions of the proceeds from the sale of this yarn go directly to educating the shepherd's children. This DK weight fiber comes in solid colorways with some shades having a slightly heathery effect. The composition of "Contanani" works well for ponchos, coats, jackets, stoles, shawls, hats, mittens, sweaters and cardigans.

I've almost completed a fair isle cardi with this yarn. It's wonderful! Great colors, great stitch definition, and a great "hand." Soft to touch yet strong, minimal splitting, no pilling (after lots of handling). I'm in love! (They also have some dynamite patterns.)
