Once I started knitting it up I was disappointed. The yarn would not come out of the ball and when you knit it from the outside it would knot and rub on to itself. The yarn is spliced and knotted together quite a few times in the ball.

optik phoenixville, Pennsylvania 2 Posts		Sunday October 14 7:16:43 PM PST My sentiments exactly. Its a gorgeous fiber with a little sheen/halo effect, nice and quishy. BUT it splits like crazy, and more then once I pulled it apart mid-knit.

neknitiot Somewhere, Nebraska 1 Posts		Monday December 17 9:39:04 PM PST I really like this yarn. As mentioned before, it's soft and comes in great colors and is reasonably priced. I had just a couple issues with the yarn being spliced and knotted together (only two times in four skeins), but I didn't have any trouble with it splitting and pulling apart. It felts beautifully, and softens considerably after washing/blocking.

It is not my favorite for felting as I found it difficult to control the shrinkage. The yarn is very soft and nice to the touch and I love it for scarves and mittens. I've never had trouble with the yarn splitting and have not experienced any splicing and knotting in the skeins I have worked with. I wish the skeins were larger, however, because you have to buy quite a bit for a project of any size at all, not a very good value when you add up the price and compare it to a larger skein of other wool yarn.
