I SAW many colorways of KARAOKE on SALE $3.95/1.75 oz skein) on website for Discontinued Brand Name Yarn, so I ordered 3 different variegated colors: RIO, DAPHNE & CAPRI BREEZE. Crocheting ripple scarves using 1.3 skeins each --EASY pattern & soft colorful yarn, 50% wool/50% soy silk blend. Hope to buy more for a beautiful shawl using DAPHNE--my favorite! Recommend this BARGAIN for quality name brand wool blend.

Crocheted 2 lapghans (34 x 42 inches) during summer 2009--Karaoke Capri Breeze 351 & Daphne 353 using 1 strand Lion Brand acrylic. Soft lovely yarns; used 6 skeins for each. Pattern was simple shell from Vanna White. Daphne was gifted to sister Mary. Then during holiday break 2010 (I'm a substitute teacher), I crocheted 2 more (35 x 39 inches) using Karaoke in Lavender Rose (294) & Bloom (281) joined by 1 strand each of Lion Brand acrylic--light blue & white. Soft yarns using N hook & same easy pattern by Vanna White. For each, I added looped fringe with only 2 yarns to each end. Decoration on LAP portion: dozen light blue 2- & 3-inch dia. flowers with 9 flowers cascading along each side. LOVELY Bloom lapghan for sister SUE-- Valentine's Day gift. Bought these variegated beautiful Karaoke yarns at a great DISCOUNT, bag of 10=$22.99, currently at website of my favorite yarn company, www.discountinuedbrandnameyarn.com.

During Autumn 2013, I crocheted an additional lapghan using 1 strand together of SWTC KARAOKE, Bloom(281) & Lavender Rose(294). I added 22 small crocheted flowers to the top (end on lap) and chain fringe on the other end. SOFT & easy to work up using hook K, so it's a tighter shell design than the previously mentioned lapghans. See previous Feb comment. This lapghan is for myself as I LOVE the pastel/ muted colorations & wanted a heavier weight to use during the cold Minneapolis winters. Highly recommend this yarn, especially at discount price, on-line at Discontinued Brand Name Yarns.
