This yarn is soft,easy to knit with, has great stitch definition. I love it!

I'd hesitate to use this for something where stitch definition is required. It will look OK while you are working it, but over time the softness of the alpaca will cause the stitches to lose definition. A wonderfully soft yarn for working in stockinette, though, and a good value.
