Here's the original Cherry Tree Hill creation that started it all! It's "Potluck Worsted Wool," often sold in the six-pack superhank that's a remarkable total of 1680 yards of luxurious hand-dyed 100% worsted wool in six color-matched potluck hanks.
"Potluck" yarns are unique, dyed in Cherry Tree Hill's wonderful "luck of the dyepot" method. That means that each Potluck set (often sold in 6-hank sets) is unique unto itself, and the color will never be exactly duplicated again in subsequent productions.
These are the "Potluck Color Families":
Watercolors show a washed out or pastel effect.
Jewel Tones contain the deeper, richer colors (dark purples, blues, greens, and pinks).
Earth Tones are made up of natural earthy colors. They can be both light and dark (browns, greys, reds, greens).
Brights range in color from some to all of the colors. Just imagine a rainbow!
Blues/Greens are made up of different shades of blues and greens.
Blues/Purples are different shades of blues and purples.
