This yarn is soft and easy to work with (if a little "splitty") but it does NOT wash well. It pills and the items I've knitted with it look worn beyond their years after just 2 hand washes. It also becomes discolored easily--not very well dyed perhaps?

This yarn feels super soft to the touch. Knits up nicely and has great stitch definition. Has a hint of a sheen to it when knitted up. However, once you wash it or touch it too much, it pills horribly. The item goes from looking prestine to pretty disgusting just like that. I had my mom knit a baby sweater for me and after one was it looked very crappy. So, I would consider this yarn virtually useless.

The yarn does indeed split. I tried to knit a WWII ear muffler with it, and it did not have enough body in it to hold a decent shape. It was a waste of my time. I threw it out.

This yarn is very soft with nice stitch definition and drape. I found it hard to crochet with because of the splitting. Much easier to knit. No problems with knotting and I like the bright colors. I haven't washed it yet and hope it I have better luck than the previous post indicate.
