This yarn makes the most gorgeous, striking scarves!!! I personally think it is too heavy to make a sweater out of (would sag) but think of bags, belts, trim... Every skein is COMPLETELY different so you either must like random colors or make sure your project uses only one skein of yarn.

I just purchased a number of skeins of this on ebay (I already hear the groans). I would note for others looking that this yarn is not nearly as soft as Mango Moon's recycled silk yarn is. It also appears that a single skein of Mango Moon has 125 yards, compared to a skein of Himalaya's, which is less. I share this information as an FYI, with no intended criticism of either yarn.

I have made an absolutly beautiful shawl out of this yarn. The only problem is that the yarn smells very musty. I finally solved this by rinsing it and adding rose oil in the rinse water. The yarn is quite thick and slippery so weaving in ends was a little difficult and they tend to pull out, a smaller needle may have solved this problem.
